Interfaith Food Ministry

GVUMC partners with other faith communities in our area to provide supplemental food to more that 750 needy families every two weeks. IFM is a 100% volunteer operation, sponsored by participating local churches. There are approximately 450 active volunteers.

IFM receives no government sponsorship. They rely solely on contributions from churches, service clubs, civic organizations and individuals.

We also receive food donated by local growers and grocery stores.

We give food away three days a week.

People can get food one time every other week.  The need is great.

The IFM Board meets once a month.

Fundraising events such as “Operation Turkey” help to fund special needs for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Postal Workers’ Food Drive each Fall helps to replenish food supplies for the winter months.

If you are interested in helping contact us at (530) 273-8132.
We can always use donations, workers, drivers, etc.
You will feel so fulfilled!
